In a Heartselling™ Conversation they receive your connection, service, acknowledgment, curiosity… And they’re even luckier if you invite them into a consult!

Because then they get to spend 30-60 more minutes receiving even more of your love, compassion, and wisdom!

⭐️ Is it Hard to Book Consults?

Booking Consults isn’t hard. If you invited 20 random strangers to do a consult, 1 or more people will likely say yes.

But booking consults takes courage. So, be kind to yourself as you stretch your comfort zone.

⭐️ How Long Should the Consult be?

We recommend offering 30-60 minutes so that you’re only committed to 30 mins, but have 60 mins to dance with concerns.

⭐️ Should I Call or Text People on My Amazing Potential Clients List?

It’s ideal to text (asking to talk) before calling so that they’re expecting your call and excited to talk with you.

But, if you’re not a texter or you’d prefer to start with a call, you’ll find two calling templates before the text template.

⭐️ Should You Seriously Study This Template?

Think of all the thousands of hours you spent in school, studying things that you no longer remember that haven’t made you a dime.

This template won’t take you thousands of hours to master, but if you give it a few hours, it could make you thousands more dollars each month.

So, if you were ever going to study a template, this would be the one to study. Make this template your friend. Read through it before every conversation, and fill out the Self-Rating Tool after every conversation.

⭐️ Why Do You Have to Go Through All of These Steps to Offer a Free Gift?

It’s possible to book consults simply by asking people if they’d like to book a consultation with you.

But, will they show up for the consultation ready to become a long-term client?

This template will increase that likelihood. And… Missing steps in this template can create awkwardness, lean-outs, and no-shows.

⭐️ What Do You Say If You’re Not Sure What to Say Next to Your Potential Client?

"You shared _________. Tell me more about that.”

⭐️ You Share “What You Do” and They Say: “How Do You Do That?”

After you tell people what you do, they might say: “Wow! How do you do that?”

It’s natural to want to share:

» Your title/credentials

» Your process

We recommend NOT doing either of these.

Here’s what you can say:

“The best way to explain how I do what I do is to give you an example. I had a client come in with _________(problems). I walked this client through my simple, step-by-step process, and in just a few short (weeks/months) this client now has _________ (results).”

“I can’t promise that you’ll get the same results, but I have seen many of my clients have similar success.”

If they still want to know your title/credentials or your process, you can share important (but general) logistics like the following:

Credentials/Title
» “My credentials/title are _________ . But anyone can get _________ credentials. What really sets my work apart is _________ (Credibility Statement).”

Process

» “We’ll work in person/over the phone/over video.”

» “I will be walking you through some powerful processes / I will be using a powerful hands-on bodywork technique called _________ (name of modality).”

Then, you can ask: “Do you have any specific questions?” Answer their questions and then bring the conversation back to the template.

⭐️ What Do You Do If You Share What You Do And They Don’t Seem Interested?

This may or may not be personal. There are several reasons they may not get excited about what you do:

» They could be distracted.

» They could be so focused on their own problems that they can hardly hear you.

» Your “What Do You Do Statement” could use some work.

» They’re just a cool, non-excitable person.

Note: None of these things mean they aren’t a great potential client.

What it does mean is that you should go to the Turn Lean-Outs Into Lean-Ins Template BEFORE moving into Stage 2.

Do not proceed to Stage 2, where you share your Hero’s Journey Story without a Lean-In.

⭐️ What Do You Say If They Ask About Your Rates Too Soon (Before Stage 5)?

“I would be happy to share how much I charge... And, before I do, I would love to hear a little more about what you’re looking for so I can recommend the best package for you.”

⭐️ What Do You Do if Your Potential Client (Or Client) Talks Too Much?

Many Coaches and Holistic Practitioners, when faced with someone who talks too much, get quiet and eventually resentful.

But actually the opposite usually happens. When they feel the void, they feel drawn to keep talking...

Maybe, if they keep talking, you’ll re-engage. Long Heartselling™ Conversations can be very draining.

So, it’s essential to master the art of dancing with “long talkers.” The key is to understand that when you make them wrong you lose power and they lead the conversation.

Conversely, when you make them right, you gain power and lead the conversation.

So, instead of shrinking your energy, follow this template.

» Match their energy and voice tone

» Interrupt and affirm what they said
» Acknowledge them

» Re-direct the conversation to the template

Here’s an example:
Long Talker ⎯ “That reminds me of the time when I was a little girl and I got my tonsils out…"

Your Answer ⎯ “Wow, I hear you. You got your tonsils out, that’s quite something! You know, I really appreciate how openly you’re sharing of yourself... And I have to wrap this up in just a few minutes.

So, I would love to know: _________ (ask a question that brings you back on track with the template.)”

Note: If you are long-winded, you will unintentionally invite your Potential Client to be long-winded.
Practice getting to the heart of the matter in your communication as well.

If they don’t have the problem you solve (YAY for them). It’s ideal if you don’t switch your niche.

After you have a Heartselling™ Conversation to Book Consults, it can be easy to assume that you were awesome if you got a "yes" and that you were not good enough if you didn't. That puts a lot of pressure on you and can lead to burnout.

This self-rating tool allows you to rate the Key Areas that will make or break your consults.

It will help you pinpoint where you were strong and where you can grow your client attraction and leadership skills. And it will help you track your progress over time.

Please be gentle with yourself. Mastery takes time. And love. And tenacity. 

Be truthful. If your score is lower, you can get support from your coach, role play with another Thriver, or catch a Thrive Call or Recording on this topic.
